| Resolute Systems was formed in 2001 after I spent two years working as an individual FileMaker developer. Previously I worked for several years as a successful business manager and occasional FileMaker developer in a large computer company. I work for a relatively small number of customers in long lasting relationships. My work falls into three areas: Developing, selling and supporting fully featured solutions for specialist needs. Developing and supporting custom solutions for a small number of regular customers. These are usually for managing sales and related processes up to the stage of invoicing. I have an arrangement with a professional systems analyst who can be called upon as required. Supporting in-house developers as required for development and deployment of FileMaker databases. My database design goal is nearly always to achieve simplicity for the user, however complicated the underlying business process may be. This extends to system administration, including automatic back up copying, automatic updating and repair of databases, with smooth integration of other technologies. Customers are small and medium sized organisations, both businesses or non-profits. In general, what they have in common is that they're strongly information based in what they do.
