| The company was set up in 2004 by Chris Boulton and Jonathan Maiden with a very simple philosophy, that the users of the systems we develop had to have control of the system and that they would be easy to use for all levels of IT experience. Whilst primarily focusing on the schools MIS market both Chris and Jonathan believed that individual schools have individual requirements. Therefore any systems we develop have to be able to adapt to the individual requirements of each school. The philosophy was simple, to offer an open source system that allowed for fine tuning where the development requirements came from the schools themselves. We believe the language of the school should be incorporated into the system as well as the ability to customise reports, assessments and reporting to the individual demands of the school each term throughout the year. We passionately believe that schools should be free to develop the system for their own benefit and not be tied into a system that they have to adapt to. The use of any system within a school is often driven by the ease of use and indeed this has been proved with each school that has taken the system. The ease of use that has been reported by each school is testament to the simplicity of structure for the teaching staff but also the flexibility of the system to adapt to the individual schools requirements. CJM offer two key products, the SchoolManager system for Junior Schools and the SchoolAdministrator for Senior Schools. Both cover the key administrative and managerial aspects of the school from pupil administration and reporting to prospective pupil management, risk assessment, medical, fees management and many more. In addition the teaching focus provides a comprehensive and customisable set of reports, exam, assessment, profiling and learning support databases to provide easy access to information. We also offer comprehensive training not only in the products but in FileMaker Pro as, so enabling organisations to adapt and self manage the systems.
